This world of ours could be without
...so many, many things,
like frowns and discontentment
and the misery it all brings

It could do well without the hate
and heartaches that exist....
replacing them with gentleness
and other kindly bliss---

What really should prevail....
is love for each and every one
and we should practice tolerance
Webs of kindness should be spun

and then,

I'm sure that in this old world
we'd see a lot more smiles
and each unto the other
make the other's life worthwhile
